Black with two

I came across this challenge blog Black with two and decided to give it a go.

This months challenge is black with grey and yellow...now I thought grey is grey BUT when I got my papers out ...the usual thing happened..some look bluey grey, some look browny grey ....aargh
But I have come up with this, and I think the grey looks like grey???

So this is my darling Jack ( grandson) ..back to the Womens and Childrens Hospital tomorrow...spent all Easter there..my heart is breaking...please get better..love you SO much!
I have done this layout whilst thinking of him xxxx

close ups..

I get Jodie to kiss him on the head and annoy him like I do when he is in hospital...she says it does produce a smile!!

Anyway thats it ...hope my baby is better..

Scrap your story challenge #5

This challenge is to use cork on your page and lucky I had some cork alphas.
I also cut strips from the outside of the sheet and inked them and used the inside of the o so Lindsay could draw his little cartoon foxes on them.

Here it is ( a bit of a fun layout)...

Glacia has turned into Pop's girl ,even though I am the one who runs around after her and plays tons of games! She never kisses me goodbye anymore...I don't know whether thats because she doesn't want to go home yet or she is sick of me kissing her!! My other nickname is Kissing Monster!  LOL

Some close ups..

Isn't Lindsays little foxes cute...he has been drawing them since I met him and that was 34 years ago!

Yes so Glacia quite often has to wear this fox whistle around her neck when she is her..but Pop is the only one who can show her how to blow it properly...funny little thing.

So head over to Scrap your story and give this challenge a go...only got to Thursday..

Scrap your story- challenge #4

Well I'm not really into embossing, but I will give anything a go !!

I have done this really quickly before the sun went down and I could take a pic

So what I have done is made my pattern on the border around the photo and then inked to show the pattern and also did the arrow the same...must admit done very quickly...didn't have time to fiddle around....but I think I will use this technique again.

Dear little Brandy girl was so special...dear little girl only had a short life...but she lived longer than the vet expected with her heart murmur. She used to escape my son's yard and come over to our house with her nose poking under the side gate...so cute..it's a wonder she never got run over!!

I just remembered I did a layout of this exact thing...here it is..

She was so gorgeous!!
Wish everyone a safe and happy Easter,

Show us your stuff

This is my very weird but fun layout of Lindsay catching fish. I had do something completey different ...cause its about him and I wanted a better reaction than....Hmmm.....okay.  That's his normal reaction...so I had to do something not normal.....( he hasn't seen it yet)..will add comment later!!

We went fishing last week in the boat on the River Murray and besides actually getting bites...we also caught some fish!...unbelievable..

It looks a bit different in real life, but it is trying to rain ..which is also unbelievable and pic is abit dull!
A few close ups....

I have used the word excited and handmade embellie ( cool fishing rod and fish journalling tag )..well Lindsay drew the fish..isn't he a sweetie! I made the rod though!

So go head over to Show us your stuff and have some fun...I did!

Scrap Friends monthly inspiration sketch

This sketch was just what I needed! I had this photo of Glacia and the background was too dark plus the TV was in the pic too. So I had cut it out, but then I didn't know what to do with it!
When I saw this sketch...I thought der... why didn't I think of this....quite obvious!
The sketch...

This game..Knock out..we bought for the boys when they were young and the grandkids have all loved it. As they have got older we have changed the rules and had some hilarious fun with this game! I must admit that drill (the Rammer Hammer ) has been used for quite a lot of things, besides knocking down plastic blocks!  Here Glacia is playing with Pop.

A few close ups

Thank you Scrap Friends for your excellent sketches!

Scrap your Story Sketch

Well I missed last weeks challenge as I was away during the week and when I went to do it I realised I was too late! Even had the photos picked out...of my two little white dogs with christmas ribbons tied in their hair...very special as Bobby is no longer with us.But I will still do this...

But I have managed to do the sketch

This Jack and Gemma...obviously playing some imaginative game in the box and something on the TV has distracted them and they are completly mesmerised!!!
I forgot I had this photo and Jodie hasn't even scrapped it yet!
A few close ups

I found this speech bubble...which I didn't even know I had.....wow the things you find when one goes through everything and sorts stuff out properly...long overdue ! LOL

White with 1

This months challenge at White with 1 I found rather hard....brown and white and doodling.
I found this old patterned paper I've had for years from Daisy Bucket designs and as I am down to using up forgotten stuff in my stash... I found some old chipboard flowery things and painted them white to go with the patterned paper. I have also used some old prima flowers and very old buttons, off cuts of ribbon, lace and wool. I have doodled around the border.

I changed the photo to sepia, but I think now I would have liked it darker.

And a few close ups...

Thanks for looking xx
