Scrap Friends colour challenge

I really love these colours at  Scrap Friends

I had all these wonderful ideas of what I was going to do.....until I found my stash of flowers was very depleted...like everything at the moment!! Money is a bit tight at the moment and I have to patiently wait....oh it's so cruel, but I will have to be creative and use what I have got!

I found these stickers I have had for ever and used some washi tape and done something completely different..well for me anyway. And wouldn't you know it...Lindsay actually liked it, instead of his usual hmmm lovely !

It's an old photo of Gemma doing painting outside and ending up painting herself ! Gee Gemma , I think your Mum is a lot more patient that Nanna...obviously it washed off easily.

I have actually layered the flowers with mounting foam for extra dimension, but it's not showing up very well.
I think it turned out okay, and I am finding it a challenge to make do with what I've got, but most probably I will learn something along the way!

123 challenge blog

This challenge of black, twine circles and the word year suited the pics of my son doing his scuba diving course whilst on holidays in Tasmania..a few years ago now...so its about time I scrapped them ! Thank you 123 challenge blog for getting me into gear!

Once again I have used scraps from my stash and I am devastated that I have used up all my red thickers ...the old vinyl ones which are so sticky but don't stick...I haven't found any to have the same red colour...oh woe is me...

Scrap Friends

Another great sketch from  Scrap Friends

This layout is about Mister Froggy....When all the granchildren have been young and I've had a bath with them, of all the squirty toys I have ...Mister Froggy is my favourite!
We have heaps of fun squirting each other and trying to find the toys amongst all the bubbles.
So I can only blame myself, when I am not actually in the bath...that these darling children, grab the frog and squirt me..and of course my reaction to this only sends them into fits of laughter and I end up very wet! Love my munchkins so much.

I have done this layout using scraps from my stash and the only thing new is the washi tape.

Kraft it up March challenge

As soon as I saw this sketch,

I knew what photo I wanted to scrap...basically I had only taken it a few days before. I don't think the layout relays how much frustration I feel towards this dog...well thats not completely true as I love him heaps...but if you saw our lawn and all the holes he has dug and on occasions littered with toilet paper, shoes, stuffing from a pillow that he got out of the laundry (well that doesn't need to be washed now!) and my herbs dug out...well you get the picture!

But this photo is actually quite cute...see I am a old softie!!

This pot WAS filled with beautiful petunias....now its just somewhere for Sam to curl up in during the day!!

This is another wonderful sketch from Scrapfriends, so why not head over to Kraft it up and give it a go.

I am in love with washi tape!!!

Scrap the girls

I love this colour challenge at Scrap the girls

White, green and black....and I instantly thought of trees. And then I remembered I took this photo of Jodie (DD)on her friends Hens Day standing by a tree and wouldn't you know it...wearing a green dress!

I will confess that this layout was a 12 by 12 but I stuffed it up badly,  but I managed to cut it down to 8 and a half by 11.I think its come out okay.

This was my first play around with texture paste..didn't really know what I was doing.
I then dabbed it with Jenni Bowlin paint dabber and then used Bird on a wire washi tape ..I love this stuff!

Jodie was bridesmaid for Susies wedding and she thought this Hens Day out very well.As it was Melbourne Cup Day, the theme was to wear big hats and a outfit from the local Opp Shop....meaning something not that fashionable...
As Susie was marrying a lovely man from England, the theme of Aussie meets British was quite relevant. We had vegemite and also cucumber sandwiches, cheese and bacon fingers, and I forgot...fritz sangers as well, besides lovely cakes ,slices, patty cakes, quandong pies and the list goes on!!!
The setting was so pretty on the front lawn...we had such a wonderful day, considering I didn't get anything in all the sweepstakes I entered!

I thought I would share some pics....

The wedding was beautiful as well!!

Life. Paper. Scrapbook

The second challenge at  Life. Paper. Scrapbook
The sketch I found rather hard with all the circles, so I sort of adapted!

I kept this real simple as I really didn't want to distract from the beautiful photos of Kerris....especially after how long it took me to capture this this beautiful smile!
It's not that he doesn't smile..he does all the time...its my camera! Definitely have to start saving for one like my daughters..I think thats going to take awhile!

I have used a stamp from the stamp set that I won from the blog hop at Scrap Book Boutique THANK you so much!

Well that is my first Lo of Kerris..my 5th grandchild....and I'm sure there will be heaps more!

Scrap your story

The first challenge at  Scrap your story
Just to use one photo..that's it

So cause Michael (my darling son) is driving me nuts with this guinea pig cage ......I have decided to scrap this today!
This is the mess which faces me when I open the backdoor!!!
If he doesn't finish it tomorrow and actually give it to James...I could possible..well we won't think of that, because it is going to happen and hopefully he will clean all his mess up!
I must admit he has done a really fantastic job..plenty of room for guinea pigs to breed....
James should be very happy with this.

The wording up the top is words from a song that Lindsay has been practising on the guitar lately..obviously its stuck in my head!

It reads:
"I wake in the morning and I step outside
I take a deep breath and I get real high
and I scream at the top of my lungs.."

I thought it was rather fitting.

James turns seven next Wednesday...a bit of a early present
Well we shall see if it gets finished tomorrow...
