Scrap Friends July sketch challenge

Hi!
Well it's been School Holidays and I have been with the Grandies and I have some wonderful photos to scrap!
The first being Glacia in the apricot tree. James thought he would teach her to climb and I saw her through the kitchen window and nearly died! I raced out there and got her down and then watched , while they played a little bit and got sick of it! Phew! It could have been disastrous!

So I have used this sketch from Scrap Friends with a series of photos

I love this bird washi tape and I have cut out a few birds

Thanks for popping in!

My first DT Reveal for Use Your Words - July 15th challenge

The time is here!!
The first challenge at Use your Word and it is STORY
Use it in either your title or journaling.

And here we go ...my first reveal!!

I have used "Story' on a cherry flair button, from A Piece of Cake Designs.

I found my old Dynamo gadget ( I was actually looking for my hot glue gun...to glue feathers back in the feather duster.... the ones the Grandies had plucked out!!)
I don't use it very often......some thing different!

Of course good old washi tape!!

And my little stars from the Trinket Track

This was a crazy drive out to Pine Valley Station! Our daughter and her 2 children came with us. We had a trailer with all our clothes, eskies and bikes and everything else. The Land Cruiser was so full of stuff and the dogs were a bit cramped and we ended up with 3 dogs and 3 adults in the front! The kids were so hyped up and with the dogs huffing and puffing and all the noise....yep total chaos! But we had so much fun that weekend!

That's enough of me rambling on!  The main thing is to check out this challenge. You have a fortnight to complete it. Take a look at all the Design Team examples....they will inspire you!!

Thanks for popping by

About a Girl July 15th challenge

Hi!
That time of the month again for a new challenge at About A Girl
Create a layout with some torn paper, flowers and use the sketch below.

Now I might have gone slightly haywire here.....turned out rather different!
The basic sketch is there...I have just added a bit more!

I love this photo! It was Gemma's 4th birthday and all the girls were dressed up even Jodie.
They are all dancing in this photo and they look so cute!

Lots of paper tearing here and edges are inked.

I have used a vey old flower punch ( one of the first I bought all those years ago and never use anymore!) to tuck little flowers under the paper.

All these girls were into dancing at this stage and were going to Tinkerbell dance classes. They looked so cute in their tutu's , that I couldn't resist using the old classic .... Sugar and Spice!!

Paper tearing and flowers are so much fun.....so check this challenge out!
And don't forget the first challenge at the new blog Use Your Word...First word being "STORY" and we all have a story to tell...so check this out too!

Thanks for popping by

WW1 July challenge

Now this challenge at white with 1 , I really wanted to do, so I could scrap a photo of my 2nd Grand Son....it being white with navy and arrows.

Guess who couldn't find anything navy!! Not one to be beaten....I found enough paper to complete a layout. Even though it is a more simpler one, my other Grand Son thinks it's the best one I've done.....even the ones of him....so there you go.....you never really know!!!

As usual, I can't get the white to look completely white. The light was not good for photos, which has made it even harder than normal!

This washi tape makes fantastic chevrons and I have had these glitter alphas for ages and never used them. But I quite like them on this page.

Made all my arrows and painfully cut them out ( one job I don't like! )

This little man will be one before I know it...so I had better take more photos. He is sooo cute!

Well that's it for now...thanks for popping by,
Leanne xx

Scrap Therapy July sketch challenge

Hi!

Now this challenge over at Scrap Therapy is for all those addicted to washi tape!!!

$50 prize pack worth of Washi Tape to be won!!

So here is the sketch and a pretty good one at that!

I took a photo of my 2 Grandies in the wheel barrow....were meant to be helping me!!!

The Kraft paper, I found in my pile of "Stuff ups" LOL ( I have a pile of papers I have messed up and hope one day I can use them !)
But it sorted of worked for this layout!

Of course lots of washi tape and stars from the The Trinket Track !!

I am rather happy with the way it turned out , as the photo was a bit hard to put colours with.

So for a chance to win some washi tape...head on over...remember you have to be in it to win it!!!

cheers

Scrap Africa

Hi

This challenge at Scrap Africa was very challenging for me!
But I really enjoyed doing this, especially as I was staying at my daughters and we were scrapping together!  The sketch....

I have used texture paste, water colours and paint and then added shells that the Grand Kids collected.

The photo corners and cork bird are from the Trinket Track and Prima butterflies

I am a just a big kid at heart and love playing with Grand Children......whatever that is!!
Building sand castles, collecting shells, kicking the football, playing in mud......whatever is going, Nanna is up for it!!

Now I have a photo of my GS James's piece of art, that he has asked me to put on my blog!
So if you happen to pop by....PLEASE, PLEASE leave a comment for James, then he might stop nagging me to set up a blog for him!!!! He just wants to read the comments...LOL!!!!

So here it is.....using up and making a mess of Nanna's paints! (and the table and the floor and himself and.....)

Thanks so much for stopping by....
