Boy meets Girl Oct 15th challenge - DT Reveal

This month is the first lot of challenges at Boy meets Girl
The boy challenge has now finished and it's time for the girls!
And the challenge is to use texture on your page.

I have this photo of me and my Grand Daughter, when we all went to see Despicable Me 2.....fun day with all my Grandies!
I have used texture paste mixed with paint on a stencil and then tried to make a little mignon....of course I didn't wait for it to dry properly (no patience what so ever ) and it looks a bit squished!

Also did some paint blowing with a straw!

I gently rubbed a black paint dabber over the white cardstock

And here is my squished mignon!

I wished that I had stood in front of the poster like Gemma did, as she really looks like she is part of the poster.
And yes Dolly came to the movies too!

You have 2 weeks to join in on this challenge....so get messy and have some fun!

The last challenge at Use Your Word

Well this is the last challenge at Use your Word ......I am going to miss these challenges. I have really enjoyed being part of this wonderful Design Team and I hope it starts up again soon!

This challenge is to use the word LOVE
Instead of scrapping about my family ( mainly my Grand Kids) I thought I would do something different and scrap something else that I love!
SPRING.....yah! Although this year ( I am in the Southern Hemisphere) Spring so far hasn't been that enjoyable! Wind, wind and more wind and temperatures changing too quickly....say 25 degrees one day and the next 36 and the next 22 and wind and rain???? I must be getting old...can't keep up with it!!!

So here is my layout

I love bees...well sort of. But when you watch them for a moment they are fascinating. I got this one in mid flight which I didn't even know I had .

The sun flowers, resin flowers and the butterfly feelers? ( which are actually flower stamens) are from  the Trinket Track
I have used a bit of the torn off paper to do my journaling on.
I have used a pizza box and painted it roughly and used a green paint dabber randomly.

Pixels and Paper Oct challenge

Hi......This Spring weather hasn't been that enjoyable so far this year! Wind, wind and more wind and yes it's blowing merry hell out there again today! Tried to do a bit in the garden, but between the wind and the sun showers, I gave up!

Well this month's challenge at Pixels and Paper has another picture to inspire you.

It inspired me to get off my butt and scrap some photos of Glacia's 3rd birthday LOL
All the family were together and when it came time for the cake ( which Pop had decorated so beautifully) getting the 4 cousins to sit at the table and be ready...well....what an exercise that was!

If you are thinking...gee there's a lot of arrows......well I had to add the bigger ones to cover up rather  a few OOPSIES and the large fun is covering a few too! And I think now looking at this I have put the "N" upside down!

Anyway moving on, the small arrows I received in a RAK from Jane (thank you) and of course I have put them to good use straight away!

And the cute little stars (could be hiding something too!) are from the Trinket Track

So head on over to the blog do yourself a favour and get some of those birthday photos scrapped!

Use Your Word -Oct DT reveal

Hi....have just got back from being in Sydney for 5 days and I am glad to be back in the country!
Fantastic place.....saw the Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge and beautiful beaches but way too much traffic and noise and so many people! Very overwhelming for one that lives in a very, very small country town!

So this challenge is to use the word " Family" either in your title or in your journaling.
I have used a photo from a couple of years ago when we were living on a sheep station along with our son.Our daughter and her family brought their camper trailer and found a spot and camped over Easter. Our other son came over from an adjoining sheep station and we took this photo of all of us together ......all covered in red dirt and having a ball.....eating yabbies from the dam and lamb and goat cooked in the camp oven and of course Easter eggs!

We now need to take another family photo to add our dear little Grand Son Kerris, who wasn't even thought of at this stage......and he will be one soon.
