Pixels and Paper Nov challenge

Hi, just popping in to enter this month's challenge at Pixels and Paper
This is the only challenge I have entered this month....wanted to do more but it just hasn't happened and now this weekend I am off to Kuala Lumpur for a 3 day shopping spree, which is timed with the big Xmas sales!! I am so excited!

Back to the challenge.....this is the photo to use for inspiration

Well I love chooks! When I was little we lived on a farm and had chooks and then when we shifted into town, Mum insisted on having a few chooks. And I have always had them. Nothing quite like your own fresh eggs! Can't bring myself to buy caged eggs....saw a thing on TV about caged chickens and I was disgusted with the cruelty.....just horrible...

As I don't have a rooster I was going to get some fertile eggs and see if I could hatch them, but she went off the nest before I managed to get some eggs......darn it!
I have made the frame using texture paste and then inking...trying to get a rustic look!

First time I have used the wire stamp

Lots of good old washi tape!

Before I go  would like to share ......Blog Candy!
Katarzyna is having a one year blog b'day and is giving away some beautiful handmade Christmas decorations......check it out here katslittlepassion
Aren't these beautiful!!

Color Me Scrappy - DT Reveal - Nov 15th

Hi everyone!
Time for challenge #50 at Color Me Scrappy
And her is the colour palette

And the twist is to use texture (burlap, sand, paint etc.)

I have used heaps of texture....burlap, curly twig from the garden, cheesecloth, wooden beads, buttons, string and I used a paint dabber on two of these beautiful cork birds from The Trinket Track

My texturized tags LOL

This is my Son in Law sitting at the beautiful Curl Curl beach in Sydney.
We would sit here everyday after lunch and watch all the surfers heading out....lovely spot.

I really enjoyed doing this layout and I love the quote (rubon)
"We are as near to heaven
by sea as by land"

Boy meets Girl - Nov 15th challenge

Hi everyone...it's time for the girly challenge at Boy meets Girl
And it's Autumn colours - no brights!
Wow now this was a challenge for me! I very rarely scrap in these colours so I did find this rather tricky for me!
I got myself into rather a flap doing this......LOL!

All of the Grand kids at some stage have fed the ducks with Nanna and little Glacia just loves it.
She is a real animal person and the enjoyment she gets from this is amazing!

This beautiful butterfly is from The trinket Track

So there you have it.....don't usually use a lot of flowers, even though I drool over them!
