Scrap your story challenge #5

This challenge is to use cork on your page and lucky I had some cork alphas.
I also cut strips from the outside of the sheet and inked them and used the inside of the o so Lindsay could draw his little cartoon foxes on them.

Here it is ( a bit of a fun layout)...

Glacia has turned into Pop's girl ,even though I am the one who runs around after her and plays tons of games! She never kisses me goodbye anymore...I don't know whether thats because she doesn't want to go home yet or she is sick of me kissing her!! My other nickname is Kissing Monster!  LOL

Some close ups..

Isn't Lindsays little foxes cute...he has been drawing them since I met him and that was 34 years ago!
Yes so Glacia quite often has to wear this fox whistle around her neck when she is her..but Pop is the only one who can show her how to blow it properly...funny little thing.
So head over to Scrap your story and give this challenge a go...only got to Thursday..

Scrap your story- challenge #4

Well I'm not really into embossing, but I will give anything a go !!

I have done this really quickly before the sun went down and I could take a pic

So what I have done is made my pattern on the border around the photo and then inked to show the pattern and also did the arrow the same...must admit done very quickly...didn't have time to fiddle around....but I think I will use this technique again.
Some close ups

Dear little Brandy girl was so special...dear little girl only had a short life...but she lived longer than the vet expected with her heart murmur. She used to escape my son's yard and come over to our house with her nose poking under the side's a wonder she never got run over!!

I just remembered I did a layout of this exact it is..

She was so gorgeous!!
Wish everyone a safe and happy Easter,

Show us your stuff

This is my very weird but fun layout of Lindsay catching fish. I had do something completey different ...cause its about him and I wanted a better reaction than....Hmmm.....okay.  That's his normal I had to do something not normal.....( he hasn't seen it yet)..will add comment later!!

We went fishing last week in the boat on the River Murray and besides actually getting bites...we also caught some fish!...unbelievable..

It looks a bit different in real life, but it is trying to rain ..which is also unbelievable and pic is abit dull!
A few close ups....

I have used the word excited and handmade embellie ( cool fishing rod and fish journalling tag )..well Lindsay drew the fish..isn't he a sweetie! I made the rod though!

So go head over to Show us your stuff and have some fun...I did!

Scrap Friends monthly inspiration sketch

This sketch was just what I needed! I had this photo of Glacia and the background was too dark plus the TV was in the pic too. So I had cut it out, but then I didn't know what to do with it!
When I saw this sketch...I thought der... why didn't I think of this....quite obvious!
The sketch...

This game..Knock out..we bought for the boys when they were young and the grandkids have all loved it. As they have got older we have changed the rules and had some hilarious fun with this game! I must admit that drill (the Rammer Hammer ) has been used for quite a lot of things, besides knocking down plastic blocks!  Here Glacia is playing with Pop.

A few close ups

Thank you Scrap Friends for your excellent sketches!

Scrap your Story Sketch

Well I missed last weeks challenge as I was away during the week and when I went to do it I realised I was too late! Even had the photos picked out...of my two little white dogs with christmas ribbons tied in their hair...very special as Bobby is no longer with us.But I will still do this...

But I have managed to do the sketch

This Jack and Gemma...obviously playing some imaginative game in the box and something on the TV has distracted them and they are completly mesmerised!!!
I forgot I had this photo and Jodie hasn't even scrapped it yet!
A few close ups

I found this speech bubble...which I didn't even know I the things you find when one goes through everything and sorts stuff out properly...long overdue ! LOL

White with 1

This months challenge at White with 1 I found rather hard....brown and white and doodling.
I found this old patterned paper I've had for years from Daisy Bucket designs and as I am down to using up forgotten stuff in my stash... I found some old chipboard flowery things and painted them white to go with the patterned paper. I have also used some old prima flowers and very old buttons, off cuts of ribbon, lace and wool. I have doodled around the border.

I changed the photo to sepia, but I think now I would have liked it darker.

And a few close ups...

Thanks for looking xx

Scrap the boys March challenge

The requirements for this month over at Scrap the Boys are:
2 photos 6x4 or smaller
washi tape

I had trouble with this one and it didn't turn out like I wanted, but I love the photos of James and Jack. They get on so good together and I hope their relationship keeps this strong as they grow up.
As James loves playing Angry Birds, we decided on a Angry Bird b'day I cooked it and Pop decorated it.....his first time and I was pretty impressed!

I have painted the background and then put strips of washi tape on top and painted chipboard embellishments. I have used the shopping tag off Lindsays Angry Bird T- shirt..I knew it would come in handy for something!

Scrap Therapy March challenge

This sketch at Scrap Therapy is one I really like.

I have used 3 photos of Glacia on the lawn with the was so hot that day!
We had no bathers as I was only looking after her for a few hours to give Kasey a break, so I just took off her shorts and her undies crept up her bottom...oh soo cute!

She is growing up so fast and her stories, with all her facial expressions is just so gorgeous.
A few close ups.....

Scrap Friends colour challenge

I really love these colours at  Scrap Friends

I had all these wonderful ideas of what I was going to do.....until I found my stash of flowers was very everything at the moment!! Money is a bit tight at the moment and I have to patiently wait....oh it's so cruel, but I will have to be creative and use what I have got!

I found these stickers I have had for ever and used some washi tape and done something completely different..well for me anyway. And wouldn't you know it...Lindsay actually liked it, instead of his usual hmmm lovely !

It's an old photo of Gemma doing painting outside and ending up painting herself ! Gee Gemma , I think your Mum is a lot more patient that Nanna...obviously it washed off easily.

I have actually layered the flowers with mounting foam for extra dimension, but it's not showing up very well.
I think it turned out okay, and I am finding it a challenge to make do with what I've got, but most probably I will learn something along the way!

123 challenge blog

This challenge of black, twine circles and the word year suited the pics of my son doing his scuba diving course whilst on holidays in Tasmania..a few years ago its about time I scrapped them ! Thank you 123 challenge blog for getting me into gear!

Once again I have used scraps from my stash and I am devastated that I have used up all my red thickers ...the old vinyl ones which are so sticky but don't stick...I haven't found any to have the same red colour...oh woe is me...

Scrap Friends

Another great sketch from  Scrap Friends

This layout is about Mister Froggy....When all the granchildren have been young and I've had a bath with them, of all the squirty toys I have ...Mister Froggy is my favourite!
We have heaps of fun squirting each other and trying to find the toys amongst all the bubbles.
So I can only blame myself, when I am not actually in the bath...that these darling children, grab the frog and squirt me..and of course my reaction to this only sends them into fits of laughter and I end up very wet! Love my munchkins so much.

I have done this layout using scraps from my stash and the only thing new is the washi tape.

Kraft it up March challenge

As soon as I saw this sketch,
I knew what photo I wanted to scrap...basically I had only taken it a few days before. I don't think the layout relays how much frustration I feel towards this dog...well thats not completely true as I love him heaps...but if you saw our lawn and all the holes he has dug and on occasions littered with toilet paper, shoes, stuffing from a pillow that he got out of the laundry (well that doesn't need to be washed now!) and my herbs dug out...well you get the picture!

But this photo is actually quite cute...see I am a old softie!!

This pot WAS filled with beautiful its just somewhere for Sam to curl up in during the day!!

This is another wonderful sketch from Scrapfriends, so why not head over to Kraft it up and give it a go.

I am in love with washi tape!!!
